Take a Stand!

Did You Know: nearly one million unborn children in America die by abortion every year? The time has come for us to rise up and cry out against the atrocity of abortion that destroys not only the baby's life but forever changes the life of its mother....

So today at SCCC we kick off our "Change for Life" campaign for Hand n Hand Pregnancy Help Center! Whether you fill the bottle with change, paper currency or a check, ALL gifts will help provide direct help to women, children and families facing an unplanned pregnancy. With 3,388 client visits in 2009, HandnHand volunteers(I am honored to be one of them!) have had many opportunities to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Through counseling we know of AT LEAST 6 lives of babies who were spared as their mothers chose LIFE instead of abortion. Hand n Hand relies on support from individuals and churches to continue ministering to these families. In 2009, $8,341 was spent just on diaper and wipes. We continue to minister to these families and provide them bibles(1.50 each) along with donated material goods including the very basics of life such as formula and food.

So follow our progress as we reach out for this amazing little outreach down in Barnhart MO.
We are in the process of planning our 2nd annual All Church Baby Shower, Client Family picnic and a Run Walk "For the Cribs" to raise money for 25 complete crib sets. God has given us many visions for the future!

We are excited about the direction God has taken us in as we mark the first year of our outreach Connect Team. We anticipate even mightier events as we begin our second year. We will covet your prayers as well as your donations of cash, clothes, diapers, formula and baby food.
We will be posted at all 3 doors between 1st and 2nd service and after 2nd service and at our Ministry Fair table to answer questions. If you feel God leading you to join us, sign up.

Going forward, we will accept donations of material goods on the first Sunday of every month.

SCCC for Life!! blog debut

This is our first post. We are so excited to have this tool to use to share about what the South County Christian Center Hand n Hand ministry team is doing.

We share with Hand n Hand a passion for the unborn!
Some events coming soon!
Our first "Run for the Cribs"-a 5K run to raise enough to provide 25 complete cribs(that means mattresses and sheets!). The Run will be held Saturday November 14! Stay tuned for more details!

Ongoing needs for the Center: Diapers/Wipes/and all clothing up to Size 4.
